History: Born in Bavaria, reportedly to the mutant terrorist Mystique, Kurt Wagner was raised by gypsy Margali Szardos and grew up to become a circus trapeze artist. Wagner romanced his foster sister Jimaine (Amanda Sefton) before he was forced to flee after killing his possessed foster brother Stefan. Wagner was subsequently recruited by Charles Xavier into the X-Men. Wagner went on to help found the British super-team Excalibur and eventually became team leader before returning to the X-Men. Despite his deominc appearance, Kurt is deeply religious to the point where he breifly pursued a life as a priest.
