Why do Kurt's teleportations leave behind a smell of brimstone? According to Marvel, when Kurt teleports, he actually passes into another dimension for a split second. The brimstone smell is a small portion of the atmosphere of that other dimension escaping into this one. |
What are Nightcrawer's powers? Nightcrawler has the ability to teleport, as well as superhuman agility. He can stick to walls (although not walls that are conpletely smooth), and is nearly invisible in shadows. |
Can Kurt stick/cling to walls? Yes, he can, something to do with his teleporting and the way he opens up another dimension, also allows him to stick to surfaces. |
If Nightcrawler teleports when an enomy grabs onto him, can he leave the bad guy there, or do they teleport with him? I think if the foe had ahold of Kurt, he would treleport with him. However, I could be wrong, he might be able to teleport out of an enemy's grasp. |
In X2 he says he has to see where he can teleport or he will end up in a wall. How does he know this? Its never fully explained, he may just be being cautious, or he may have teleported into a solid object (a smaller object, such as a table, or something that didn't seriously injure him) before with the same results. |
Can Nightcrawler see where he's going when he's in mid-port? I know he has to before he 'ports anyway can he? I don't think he can, I think it happens so fast, he doesnt't have a chance to see anything. I know it tales him a second to get his bearings after a teleportation. |
What is BAMF? The sound Kurt makes when he teleports (again - previously answered) |
What does Bamf mean? It is the sound that Kurt makes when he teleports (if you'd read through the other questions, I've answered this before) |
what is a bamf? I've answered this before. BAMF is the sound Kurt's teleportation makes. |
what exactly is it that nightcrawler leaves behind when he teleports? smoke? water? a combo of the two? I've answered this before. He passes into another dimension for a split second when teleporting, it is the atmosphere of that dimension following him back into this one that creates the sulphur smell and the smoke. |
Does Kurt only have the power to teleport or does he have more? Search result says... |
what the heck is nightcrawler supposed to do? He's a teleporter. ? I guess you need to be more specific, what's he supposed to do about what? |
I heard that bamfs were little smurf like creatures that looked like Kurt... is that true? BAMF is the sound Kurt makes when he teleports. |
How Far Can Nightcrawler teleport Two to three miles, less if he's teleporting a lot of people at once. |
How can Kurt stick to walls? I'm not completely sure, I know he cannot stick to walls that are completely smooth, so it might have something to do with the shape or texture of his fingers. Or it might just be a bonus of his teleporting ability. |
how does nightcrawler teleport? i know that he travels through a different dimension n all but does he just think of where he wants to go and just appear there or what? I think so, pretty much. He does have to be able to see, or have a knowledge of the spot he wants to teleport to (so he doesn't wind up half inside a wall or sofa of something...). So, I think he just thinks about teleporting to a certain spot, flips the mutant gene on, and BAMF! |
Does nightcrawler's pointy ears help him teleport or hav anything to do with his teleportation? No, the pointy ears are just genetics, no help in teleportation. |
how come it strains kurt so much in first x-men issues when he teleports other people? It still does. It strains him physically and mentally to teleport extra people. The more people the greater the strain.
Just like when you try to pick up something heavy, the heavier the object, the more you have to exert your own energy to pick it up. |
is it that he just got more used to the strain than at first? Just like people who exercise their muscles to become stronger, Kurt now has more experience with his mutant power. He has trained, and practiced, and has better mastery over his teleportation ability, so the strain would be less than when he first became an X-Man. |
can Nightcrawler teleport to specific people If he already knows their location he can. He cannot 'sense' where a certain person is, and then teleport there. He has to know their location first. |
I just out that Amanda Sefton is going to be in the X-Fernus storyline. Does this mean that she and Nightcrawler will be getting back together? I'll keep you posted if I find out more It is entirety possible. Her appearance may play a major role in the upcoming one-shot issue 'Quitting Time'. Don't quote me on that as I am not sure of any plans Marvel has in store for our fuzzy blue teleporter. I'm just a fan, same as all of you. |
